Power of Diverse Growing Media for Customised Cultivation
Growing media, also known as soilless growing medium, is a type of substance that provides a suitable environment for plant growth without the use of traditional soil. These media are typically made up of a combination of natural and/or synthetic materials such as peat moss, vermiculite, perlite, coconut coir, and various types of rockwool.
One of the main advantages of using growing media is the ability to control the composition and quality of the growing environment. This means that growers can tailor the media to meet the specific needs of their crops, such as providing optimal moisture retention or nutrient levels. In addition, using a soilless growing medium can help prevent the spread of soil-borne diseases and pests.
There are a variety of different types of growing media available, each with their own unique properties and advantages. For example, peat moss is an organic growing medium that is lightweight and retains moisture well, while vermiculite is a mineral-based medium that provides excellent aeration and drainage. Rockwool is a popular synthetic growing medium that is made from spun volcanic rock and is known for its excellent water retention and root support.
Coco Discs
Coco discs, a versatile growing media, can be made from different types of coarse coco peat; Profit and Maximum. These discs find application across various crops, but notably excel in gerbera cultivation. Their ease of use and rapid expansion are notable features. Notably, the excellent physical characteristics of these discs are comparable to loose Profit and Maximum coco material

Growpot
The Growpot is a four, five or six litre growbag based on coco material. The Growpot was designed to be used both as a propagation and s growing unit in the greenhouse.
The Growpot is ideally suited for the cultivation of soft fruit, but can also be used in vegetable cultivation. The Growpot is available with different types of coco material – from basic to Maximum – and is available in different sizes on request.

Coco Plugs
Coco plugs are made from pressed dry coir in a paper cover. The plugs expand when water is added and are ideal for cuttings and for sowing seeds. The 70 mm diameter coco plug can also be used for propagating vegetable plants. Coco plugs can be transported relatively compactly. Coco plugs are delivered packed in bulk in boxes or inlaid in trays.

Propagation Cube
The Propagation Cube, an innovative growing media based on coco material, is designed for cultivating vegetables and is particularly suitable for automated processing. The Propagation Cube is compressed into a small slab and entirely encased in plastic to prevent any dispersion of coco material on the propagation floor.
This specialized growing media absorbs water and nutrients through its drainage slits, expanding to its eventual size. Delivered in boxes and on half pallets, Propagation Cubes offer an efficient and controlled medium for optimal plant growth.

Paperpots
Paperpots are uniform plugs with a paper cover, filled with a potting soil mix suitable for cuttings. Paperpots are commonly filled with a mixture of finely sieved peat and fine perlite, but can also be filled with a coco peat/perlite mix, with the optional addition of finely sieved peat.

Jumbo Paperpot
The Jumbo Paperpot is an environmentally friendly solution for landscaping. The use of a paper cover means that no plastic pots are needed for growing plants. Combined with the tray, the Jumbo Paperpot provides a favourable rooting climate. Planting can be up to 40% faster and CO2 emissions can be reduced by up to 20% with the use of Jumbo Paperpots.

Pressed Pots
Pressed pots based on white peat from the Baltic States. This type of peat is readily available and has a consistent quality. In addition, it allows for a higher air content during cultivation and has great rewetting properties. Since white peat does not remain in compressed form by itself, we have developed a binding agent that allows a stable shape. The binder combined with water ensures a firm pressed pot. Pressed pots are a relatively inexpensive rooting medium and are available in slide trays. Pressed pots are widely used for the rooting of chrysanthemums, the cultivation of lettuce and other leafy vegetables.

Fibre-Neth®

Fibre-Neth® Twin 3.0
Fibre-Neth® Twin 3.0 is a Fibre-Neth® plug, specially developed for the propagation of Phalaenopsis. The plug makes it possible for propagators to sort their Phalaenopsis and propagate plants separately. Fibre-Neth® Twin 3.0 consists of two parts that are made of a special Phalaenopsis substrate based on coco. The tissue-culture plant is clamped between the two parts, which are then inserted into a basket of biodegradable plastic. The baskets are placed in a 72-, 60- or 50-hole tray. When the young plants have grown enough they can be sorted.

The unique composition of the substrate makes it easy to rewet the Obturo®. Obturo® plugs can be processed directly by hand, but the plugs are also extremely suitable for automatic handling.

Glue Plugs
A glue plug consists mainly of pressed white peat with perlite and an organic binder. Glue plugs are solid and suitable for rooting quick-rooting cuttings. This requires a sufficient amount of air and water in the plug.
